We are happy to announce that Hopkinsville Electric System & EnergyNet along with Tennessee Valley Authority have awarded at total of $20,000 to four local organizations that help our community as part of the COVID-19 Community Care Fund.

Hopkinsville Electric System General Manager Jeff Hurd, along with Derek Miller of TVA, awarded $5,000 each to Boys and Girls Clubs of Hopkinsville-Christian County, Hopkinsville Christian County Family YMCA, Aaron McNeil House, Inc., and Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Inc. to help with the work they are doing in our community during the Covid-19 crisis.

The COVID-19 Community Care Fund is part of a broader effort by TVA and local power companies to support communities with resources, programs and assistance and reinforce the strength of public power in the Tennessee Valley.

  • TVA Covid-19 Resource Guide for Business Reopenings

    Thumbnail Placeholder

As our country begins to work towards reopening, it is important for businesses and industries to take the proper precautions to protect both employees and customers. To assist with this process, TVA has produced an online guide for businesses and industries throughout the Tennessee Valley.

The information includes general restart guidelines, as well as industry-specific guidelines for schools, restaurants, retailers, places of worship and public assembly spaces. In addition, there are useful links to the websites of the CDC, U.S. Small Business Administration, and others.
