Headed out of town for spring break? Don’t miss the opportunity to save energy at home while you’re gone.

1. Adjust your thermostat accordingly. For every degree above 72ºF you can save up to 3% on your energy bill.
2. Unplug all small electronic devices like humidifiers, kitchen gadgets, and printers.
3. Unplug TVs, gaming consoles, computers, and other entertainment devices.
4. Unplug all power adapters and charging devices.
5. Turn off indoor and outdoor lights. Keep a few strategic lights on but turn off the rest.
6. Block out the sun by closing all curtains, drapes and blinds.
7. Turn off ceiling fans.
