The 2021 HES/energynet Photo contest was a huge success! Thirty-five local photographers entered 151 photographs. The images were a great representation of Hopkinsville and Christian county. The quality and quantity of images made it difficult to narrow down the choices for the images to be awarded prize money and also for the images to be selected to be featured in the 2022 HES/energynet calendar.
Winning first place and a prize of $300 was a postcard perfect photo of a barn scene with beautiful orange lilies in the foreground taken by Jason Jones. Second place, and $200, was won by Nick Tomasewski for an interesting photo of Salina the cow enjoying some good ole Kentucky grass. And third place, and $100, was won by DeeAnna Sova for a gorgeous winter sunrise.
The 2022 HES/energynet calendar is now in production and should be mailed late in December. Once you have received your calendar, HES typically has a limited quantity of extra calendars available at the customer service desk.
