The 2023 HES/energynet Photo Contest is now Open!
Each year, Hopkinsville Electric System/energynet (HES/EN) sponsors a photo contest allowing local photographers to submit photos to be considered for the upcoming year’s HES/EN calendar. This calendar features photos taken in Christian county by local photographers and is mailed to Hopkinsville residential HES/EN customers around Christmas time.
All photo submissions to the contest will be judged and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photos will be selected. Prizes will be awarded in the amounts of $300 for 1st place, $200 for 2nd place and $100 for 3rd place.
To enter the contest:
- Read the contest rules by clicking here. When you register for the contest, you are agreeing to abide by the contest rules. The rules also provide hints in regards to the types of photos that are typically selected for the HES/EN calendar.
- Register for the contest by filling out the form below.
- Before submitting your photos, rename them using the last four digits of your registration phone number. For example, if the last 4 digits of you registration phone number were “1234”, then your photos would be 1234-1, 1234-2, 1234-3, etc. This is to maintain anonymity during the judging process.
- Email your photos to: photocontest@hop-electric.com. You may submit up to 10 high-resolution photos to the contest. Please limit single email size to 20 MB. You may submit multiple emails if necessary.
The deadline for submissions is midnight (12am), October 31, 2023.
***Photos submitted to the contest must be in the landscape orientation for consideration to be featured in the calendar***
HES/EnergyNet WILL NOT provide your information to any third parties. Registration information will only be used by HES/EnergyNet in conjunction with the 2023 HES/EnergyNet Calendar Photo Contest.
