The following circumstances are considered New Construction and require and electric inspection and certificate of compliance. This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list, and at any time Hopkinsville Electric System (HES) reserves the right to request an electric inspection for any reason.

- Upgrades of changeovers
- Reinstallation of services that have been inactive for any significant length of time
- Temporary services
Stages of Construction
- Submit New Service Application (click link below)
- HES Engineering will call to discuss project details
- Payment of deposit and fees
- Submit Certificate of Compliance (from KY certified electrical inspector) to HES Engineering department
